BioUmm...if I've added you to my friends list, it's because I like reading your nifty stuff and/or because you probably update with news about of some my slightly obscure interests. I'm not the scary stalker type at all, and nobody should ever feel obligated to friend me out of reciprocal politeness or anything like that.
I'm totally okay with perfect strangers friending me even though I don't see why anyone would want to. (Even I don't friend myself!). What I write makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, and I consider most of this journal to be a series of asinine brain farts. Also, I rarely friends-lock anything--I pretty much let it all hang out since hardly anyone knows who I am in real life. I could be Noam Chomsky exploring his inner nerdy college girl for all you know.
About me:
Working on my third degree from MIT which means I am old and probably bat$h!t insane. But, seriously, people look at me and wonder how the hell I ever got in. I'm a very hardcore science/engineering major, spending my day amongst scary equations and codes. But I admit to drifting away during meetings to ponder the latest Garfield comic strip. I'm geek-hacker girl who knows what eyeshadow primer is. I adore going to the opera and the ballet. But I also like to watch Family Guy. I collect anime figurines.....and niche perfume. I like Eric Idle and Erik Satie. I can get just as riled up by a discussion on Jane Austen as I can by a discussion on the proper steady state solution to a linear, time-invariant, causal system.
I am my own contradiction.
My entries tend to be trivial and airheaded because I have no brainpower left after school and research work. I'm also grouchy most of the time due to the lack of sleep or regular meals so I tend to be snarky and complain a lot. But remember, I show my LOOOOOVVVVEEE by complaining about things because I want them to become even better. I do artsy stuff like painting, sculpting, and drawing comics sometimes. (My deviantART page for what it's worth). I call it doing "arting" coz it rhymes with "farting." Naturally, I'm a horrible artist since my waking hours are mainly spent on fooling other people into thinking that I'm a competent research scientist. So occasionally I'll post an angst-ridden and retardedly emo-esque entry about creating art or some crap like that.
I'm also East Asian.....so I can take the "Chris Rock" defense when I snark about Asian things.
